As important thinker of China and the west Confucius and Schiller have both discussed about aesthetic education, and their theories have important influence. Confucius and Schiller's thoughts about aesthetic education are in the humanistic basis, the content of the aesthetic education, methods and purpose, etc are comparable. And Cai Yuanpei inherited and developed the Confucius and Schiller's theories about aesthetic education.
