Abstract Today’s China witnesses a booming of public welfare undertakings. The value of public welfare education is now manifested by the status quo in China, western practice of social work education and the growing demands of Chinese youth for public welfare awareness. Likewise it has drawn great expectations of enhancing the national public welfare awareness to highlight public welfare education. As a growing point of modern education as well as a new field to explore, public welfare education is nourished by civilian education, ethics education and psychological education, consists of education in terms of charity, interpersonal relationship, environment and science, the public is the modern education must consider the problem.
