Abstract Western theories of educational management appears to be a forest Since 1970s. In Summary, there are six models, such as Formal model and Managerial leadership, Collegial model and Participative leadership , Political model and Transactional leadership, Subjective model and Post-modern leadership, Ambiguity model and Contingency leadership, Cultural model and Moral leadership.To understand and grasp their hypothesis,characteristic, advantages and disadvantages is not only necessary but also critical. It is the base of understanding its values and meanings, but also benefits our educational reform and development。
