Abstract

After controlling the region and socio-economic status, A counties - school - students 3-level model found the proportions of URIS could negatively predict school’s mean scores of science test significantly. The higher the proportion, the lower the school’s mean score. Moreover, there is no significant difference between URIS and Urban students if they studied in the same school. Education authorities should further provide URIS more and better enrollment choices to reduce the access opportunities exclusion imposed on URIS.
