On Learner’s Autonomous Burden-reducing and Its Practice |

Abstract Reducing students’ learning burden has been one of most important theme in China’s education reforms. Autonomous burden reducing is a new notion and method of burden reducing. It is different from the external burden-reducing which depends on the external influence of reducing learners’ learning burden. Autonomous burden-reducing is a process which highlights the learners’ autonomy by optimizing the learning process and methods and self-regulates the learning burden, and then create appropriate learning burden for himself to promote learning quality. Promoting the development of learners’ autonomy will be key for the autonomous burden-Reducing, which will be an effective way to reducing learners' burden and promote the quality of education.
