Abstract Through an investigation into the principals and teachers from 622 primary, middle and high schools, we find that in China, progress has been made in the administration of school-based curriculum decision-making, teachers’ participation in school-based curriculum decision-making, students’ participation in school-based curriculum decision-making, the supporting conditions for school-based curriculum decision-making, the related deliberation and training, the quality of school-based curriculum decision-making, but there still be big defects. Based on this, we can get several conclusions and pose several suggestions.
